Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, the President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has said that the use of illegitimate means to demand a legitimate claim undermines the position based on truth. He said that the MQI Denmark chapter has got a law passed to prevent desecration of the Holy Quran through dialogue, evidence, and contemplation. He said that after the approval of this law, the incidents of desecration of the Holy Quran in Denmark have come to an end.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views while addressing a literary competition organized under the auspices of "Bazm Minhaj" on the subject of "The Role of Divine Evidence in Discourse" at the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences (COSIS).

Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri taught the youth lessons of ethics, character-building, love for peace, and respect for the law. He said that violence cannot end violence. He said that every Friday in Denmark, non-Muslims used to hurt the feelings of Muslims by desecrating the Holy Quran because it was interpreted as freedom of expression in Danish law. He said that Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Denmark, instead of resorting to agitation, siege, or violence, opted for a unique practical wisdom.

Dr Hussain said that wherever the Holy Quran was burned, MQI distributed 100 Danish translations of the Holy Quran among the educated circles of the local population, and when non-Muslims started reading the translation of the Holy Quran in their own language, their opinion began to change, and this action also came under the notice of the government, and then Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Denmark called on all members of the Muslim community and engaged in dialogue with the government, convincing them that the desecration of the Holy Quran is hurting the feelings of Muslims all over the world.

He said that as a result of this dialogue, engagement and evidence, the government declared the burning of the Holy Quran as a crime and legislated against it.

“Alhamdulillah, today the despicable incidents of blasphemy have come to an end in Denmark,” he said.

The MQI President said that young people, especially in sensitive matters, should present their case with evidence and reasoning instead of superficial emotional outbursts. He said that when the purpose is to protect the symbols of Islam and obtain the pleasure of Allah, then violence and vandalism should not come into play. He said that Dr. Irfan Zahoor and all the responsible persons of Minhaj-ul-Quran in Denmark deserve congratulations on this wisdom, adding that undoubtedly they have served the Quran and Islam with their serious approach.

On the occasion of the 73rd birthday celebration of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Sofia Baidar, the poetess, intellectual and writer, said that Minhaj-ul-Quran and the leader of the Minhaj-ul-Quran movement always spoke about peace, moderation, and tolerance. Today, our society needs these qualities more than ever before, she said.

“Whenever I come to Minhaj-ul-Quran, I take back the message of love and tolerance with me,” she said
She further said that students associated with educational institutions of Minhaj-ul-Quran International are fortunate that they have access to quality education as well as training here.
